Gary H. Lantner, has been appointed president of the Houston Airport System (HAS) Development Corporation, which offers consulting and training services that utilise the knowledge and expertise of workers at the airport, which claims to be the fourth largest in the United States.
Lantner, a 40-year airport and airline corporate real estate executive, joins Robert C. White, who has been promoted to vice president of airport services and Sandra C. Gonzalez, who has been promoted to director of business development, for the HAS Development Corporation.
“HAS Development Corporation is able to leverage the proven expertise of the Houston Airports both domestically and internationally,” says Rick Vacar, who is chairman of the Board of Directors. “I am pleased to welcome Gary to the team as he provides support to market the Houston Airports’ staff expertise and helps others with airport and aviation challenges.”
HAS Development Corporation partners with aviation consultants and contractors to add the airport-operator voice to groups responding to airport Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
“Our services include not only operations and capital development, but also planning, commercialization and training,” says Lantner. “We look forward to joining consultant and contractor teams proposing on airport projects as an important differentiator as well as being available for direct assignments."
Lantner headed corporate real estate departments for major airlines in the U.S. prior to his appointment, and has experience in facilities planning, project management, construction and design or airport and airline facilities.
White has managed, developed, and consulted for airports and passenger terminal facilities in Shreveport, Louisiana; Gainesville, Florida; Jacksonville, Florida; Newport News, Virginia; Reno, Nevada; Shenzhen, China; London City Airport, England; Toronto, Canada; Istanbul, Turkey; Auckland, New Zealand; Skopje, Macedonia; Basra and Baghdad, Iraq; Quito, Ecuador; and Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
Gonzalez brings over 19 years of experience in aviation, including 12 years of experience in the operation of George Bush Intercontinental Airport and William P. Hobby Airport. She was also involved in the transition of the Quito Airport from a public to private airport operator.
