Store proposals welcomed for Houston Bush Airport

houston george bush international airport united airlines units shopping store passengers terminal EUnited Airlines and airport experience firm OTG have released a request for proposals for retail and passenger amenity concessions at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).

The request is for five units available in Terminal E, with the opportunity to open retails shops that offer specialty merchandise.

Currency exchange, eateries and sporting team merchandise stores are just some of the businesses ineligible for the units. Proposals are due on April 21, and a pre-proposal meeting and tour is scheduled to take place on March 1.

In 2016, 5.5 million passengers travelled through Terminal E, which is undergoing an expansive transformation. Plans include a US$120m OTG investment in its dining and shopping offerings, gate lounges in the United Airlines terminals and nearly 8,000 iPads deployed across the airport in different capacities.
