The Nuance Group wins extended concession contract at Swedavia airports

The Nuance Group has been awarded an extended and expanded concession contract by Swedavia that will see the company introduce tax-free shops at Scandinavian airports until 2018.

Over the next 12 months, The Nuance Group will operate and develop ten tax-free shops at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, Göteborg Landvetter Airport, Malmö Airport, Bromma Stockholm Airport, Visby Airport, Umeå Airport, Luleå Airport and Åre Östersund Airport.

“The investment in shops is part of creating inspiring airports with a commercial offering designed for our passengers. The shopping experience at our airports is being enhanced, a project that involves 3,000m2 of shopping space," said Michael Persson Gripkow, chief commercial and marketing officer at Swedavia.

"To start, we are launching a brand-new walk-through tax-free shop in the international terminal at Göteborg Landvetter Airport. Major improvements are also being planned at Stockholm Arlanda Airport in Terminals 2, 4 and 5."
