WIKA-led consortium to build expansion of Terminal 3 at Soekarno-Hatta Airport

A consortium led by PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) has been awarded a IDR 4.7 trillion (£319m) contract by PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) to construct Terminal 3 Ultimate Building Expansion of Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

The KAWAHAPEJAYA Indonesia consortium, which also includes PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk., PT Hyundai Engineering Co. LTD., PT Housing Development (Persero) Tbk., PT Jaya Teknik Indonesia, and PT Indulexco, were chosen based on an evaluation of administrative, technical, price, qualification, and verification has been done by PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero).

The project will run for 850 calendar days (almost 2.5 years) from the specified date in the contract signing. The consortium will carry out Detail Engineering Design (DED) and the Implementation of Construction (Design-Build) at main building terminals, roads and parking lots.

Salt Lake City International airport expansion program Salt Lake City International Airport has released a series of videos detailing its US$1.8bn plan for constructing a new terminal, concourses and accompanying infrastructure. Work began on the project in July 2014 with completion scheduled for 2020. The current terminal was built more than 50 years ago with an annual passenger capacity of 10 million. In 2014, the airport accommodated more than 21 million travelers.
