Plaza Premium Lounge opens at Winnipeg Richardson International

Plaza Premium Group has opened its latest Plaza Premium Lounge in the domestic and international departures area at Winnipeg Richardson International Airport in Canada. It is the first independent airport lounge in Winnipeg and measures approximately 3,340ft² with seating for nearly 100 passengers. It is the group’s twelfth lounge in Canada.

The new lounge has been built using timber, polished granite, quality fabrics and warm ceramic wall tiles. These materials have been combined with chic decorations to create the feel of luxury living space. The lounge features Plaza Premium’s signature Honeycomb seating to provide extra privacy for travelers, as well as complimentary wi-fi and multiple electrical outlets throughout. There is a wide array of food and beverage options available to customers including juices, coffee, beer, wine and spirits, as well as signature dishes such as chocolate and marinated strawberries flatbread and rotisserie chicken.

Barry Rempel, president and CEO of Winnipeg Airports Authority, the airport operator, said, “In opening the Winnipeg lounge, Plaza Premium Group has connected our community with its global network of incredible lounges, introducing our customers to a world class travel experience. Sharing a passion for providing people with services that exceed their expectations brought us together and we look forward to setting a new standard for future travel together.”
