ADP takes over concession management at Santiago International Airport

Aéroports de Paris (ADP) and its partners VINCI Airports and Astaldi, working as part of the Nuevo Pudahuel consortium, have officially taken over management of the concession of Santiago International Airport Arturo Merino Benítez, Chile for a period of 20 years.

The concession covers the operation and development of the airport, and the consortium will be responsible for renovationing the current terminal and building a new 175,000m² terminal that will bring the airport's capacity to 30 million passengers, and will be extendable up to 45 million.

Construction work on the new terminal by VINCI Construction Grands Projets and Astaldi is set to begin in summer 2016.

Santiago airport is the sixth largest airport in South America, handling 16.1 million passengers in 2014, with international passengers accounting for nearly half of this figure.
