Warsaw Chopin Airport on course for record-breaking year

Warsaw Chopin Airport in Poland served 777,000 passengers in November 2015, a 4.1% increase compared with November 2014. The figure means that the airport has handled approximately 10.5 million passengers so far this year, running from January to November, representing a 6% increase over the same period last year. It also means that the airport is on course to serve more than 11 million passengers in a year for the first time in its history.

Radoslaw Paruzel, deputy director of Chopin Airport, said, “From the time when we opened the modernized Terminal A in May 2015, the numbers of passengers have grown from month to month and this trend will continue in the coming years. We already know that the result for the whole of 2015 will set an absolute record, as for the first time in history we will cross the level of 11 million passengers handled in one year.”
