LED displays installed at Honolulu International

American-based digital display manufacturer NanoLumens has completed the installation of two large NanoSlim LED solutions at Honolulu International Airport in Hawaii.

The two new displays measure 44.65ft x 7.28ft and use a 6mm pixel pitch to allow passengers to easily view flight information and advertisements from anywhere in the airport lobbies. The solutions were installed in partnership with systems integrator Ford Audio-Video.

Eric Seigler, regional sales manager, NanoLumens, said, “More and more airports understand that large format LED based visualization solutions are the best way to cut through the clutter and engage hurried travelers with critically important messages, information and, in many cases, sponsored advertising content. The Honolulu International Airport installation represents the latest addition to our transportation portfolio, with more to follow.”

Travis Ellis, project engineer at Ford Audio-Video, said, “Ford Audio-Video has been the long-term provider of public address, flight information displays and gate management system maintenance and audio-video (AV) integration at Honolulu international Airport. The goal of the project was to provide departure flight information that could be visible throughout each of the two lobbies that are approximately 120ft in depth. Additionally, the airport required that there be additional LED real estate space to show additional content of passenger interest, such as a destination city’s weather and a Hawaii tourism video slideshow.”
