UKTI calls for British contractors to apply for Copenhagen Airport expansion project

UK Trade and Investment (UKTI), a government body tasked with helping UK businesses to expand overseas, has issued a tender calling for British construction contractors to bid for the latest expansion project at Copenhagen Airport in Denmark.

Copenhagen Airport is due to undergo substantial expansion over the coming years to handle up to 40 million passengers annually, almost twice the current capacity. The vision includes expanding Piers B and C, constructing a new Pier E, and providing more space for large aircraft by expanding the runway system. It also includes the construction of a station for high-speed trains to bring travelers from both Oslo in Norway and Hamburg in Germany.

There is also the possibility of developing more space in the shopping area to create open zones containing a casual Danish atmosphere.
