Dallas Fort Worth International opens renovated section of Terminal E

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in Texas, USA, has opened a newly renovated section of Terminal E, complete with six new gates, new restaurants and shops, and an improved state-of-the-art parking system.

Khaled Naja, executive vice president of airport development and planning at Dallas Fort Worth Airport, said, “When our customers arrive at Terminal E, they will certainly notice significant progress and activity as a result of our Terminal Renewal and Improvement Program (TRIP) renovations. Our focus has been on delivering a superior customer experience – from easily finding a parking space with our parking guidance system to convenient check-in processing and a variety of concession options before boarding.”

The upgrades to Terminal E include renovations to Gates E11 through to E17; an upgraded ticketing hall for airline operators Alaska Airlines and Delta Air Lines; newly refurbished baggage claim areas at E13 and E14; and a new security checkpoint at Gate E16, which is scheduled to open on May 15, 2016. The completion of phase three of the Terminal E project also coincides with the opening of an adjacent, 1,800-space parking garage featuring parking guidance technology.

The new gate amenities include upgraded seating and charging tables for passengers, as well as several new dining and retail offerings. This includes a Love Shack burger bar; women’s accessories store Marshall-Rousso; Sonny Bryan’s bbq restaurant; a Texas Marketplace gift shop; and an InMotion Entertainment electronics store.

Phase four of the renovation work at Terminal E will begin in May 2016, with the renovation of Gates E2 through to E10, and the addition of more concessions. This final phase of construction is scheduled for completion in late 2017.
