OTG and United set to transform restaurant offering at George Bush Intercontinental

United Airlines and restaurateur OTG have unveiled their plans to transform the dining and retail experience for passengers in Terminal B South, Terminal C (including the new C North Concourse opening in 2017) and Terminal E at George Bush Intercontinental in Houston, USA.

The new dining concepts will all feature OTG’s 2U feature that allows customers to order food, retail and other goods using approximately 8,000 iPads located throughout the terminals, and have them delivered to their table or seat, whether within a restaurant or at the gate. The iPads will also be fitted with entertainment options for travelers to enjoy before their flight.

OTG has already opened five new offerings in Terminal E including its CIBO Express Gourmet Markets and Republic Grille concepts, both of which feature an array of healthy options from local purveyors.

The biggest project will involve the new C North Concourse, which will see five renowned chefs create new restaurant concepts and menus for the airport. They include chefs Roland Laurenzo, Ryan Pera, John Nguyen, Monica Pope and Chris Shepherd. Between them they will introduce a Taqueria Mexican restaurant, a gourmet pizza house, a Vietnamiese-inspired seafood restaurant, a Panini bar, and a Houston-focused tavern.

Gavin Molloy, vice president of corporate real estate, United Airlines, said, “United is pleased to bring this industry-leading airport experience concept to our Houston hub. The collaboration with OTG will provide exceptional food, beverage and retail options with the comfort and high-tech amenities that travelers today want.”
