OTG to transform restaurant offering in Terminal B at Philadelphia International

American Airlines and concession operator MarketPlace Philadelphia announced today (May 18) that hospitality firm OTG will transform the dining and retail experience in Terminal B at Philadelphia International Airport in Pennsylvania, USA.

An investment of more than US$30m will transform Terminal B into a state-of-the-art retail and dining experience, with local chef-driven dining concepts and thousands of iPads allowing passengers to order food and other items and have them delivered to their seat in the restaurant or gate areas.

Rick Blatstein, CEO, OTG, said, “Our team is inspired by the revolutionary work ahead at Terminal B at Philadelphia International. In collaborating with American Airlines, MarketPlace and the airport, we’re all working together to create a completely reenergized American Airlines hub. The traveler’s experience at the airport will be transformed by incredible Philly chefs, redesigned gate areas and exciting new retail.”

Cedric Rockamore, vice president – Philadelphia Airport Hub Operations, American Airlines, said, “American is proud to offer our customers a taste of local flavors and the convenience of high-tech amenities at our Philadelphia hub. The transformation of Terminal B is the latest in our more than US$3bn investment in improving the travel experience for our customers.”

The eight new dining concepts will be created by chefs Kevin Sbraga, Nicholas Elmi, Erin O’Shea, Hiroyuki Zama Tanaka, Anne Coll, Joe Cicala, Stalin Bedon and a joint offering by John Myerow and Michael McCaulley.
