Denver International experiences nine consecutive months of record-breaking growth

Denver International Airport in Colorado had the busiest May in the airport’s history this year after serving 4,901,890 passengers, an 8.2% increase over the 4,532,025 passengers served in May 2015.

The figure means that the airport has now experienced nine consecutive months of record-setting passenger traffic. Denver’s international passenger traffic in May also increased 3.2% compared with the same time last year, with a total of 189,521 passengers.

Kim Day, CEO, Denver International Airport, said, “In May we celebrated Lufthansa’s launch of non-stop service from Denver to Munich, Germany, and welcomed the return of Sun Country Airlines with non-stop service to Minneapolis, Minnesota. United, Southwest and Frontier also added seat capacity in May, which continues Denver International Airport’s trajectory toward another record-setting year.”
