SSP America opens four restaurants at Orlando International

Restaurateur SSP America has officially opened four new food and beverage offerings in terminals A and B at Orlando International Airport in Florida.

The four restaurants are part of a seven-year US$70m contract awarded to SSP America in 2015 and include Urban Crave, a contemporary street food concept located in Terminal A, Airside 1; Le Grand Comptoir, a beautifully designed travel oasis, also located in Airside 1, serving specially curated wines paired with high-quality food; and Camden Food Co., with two locations in Terminal B, Airside 3, serving a mixture of healthy and indulgent dishes.

Phil Brown, executive director of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, the airport operator, said, “Providing our passengers with a variety of world-class food and beverage options only helps to enhance their overall Orlando experience. Post security dining is essential in today’s modern airport environment and SSP America’s selection of Urban Crave, Le Grand Comptoir and Camden Food Co. will help us meet this growing demand.”

Michael Svagdis, president and CEO of SSP America, said, “SSP is extremely excited to showcase the strength and quality of our highly original, award-winning brands at Orlando International Airport. Thoughtfully positioned near JetBlue’s gates at Airside 1, our award-winning Urban Crave delivers the country’s hottest street food trend, bánh mi sandwiches, in a modern, hipster-magnet setting – perfect for the JetBlue passenger. These brands allow us the opportunity to offer our airport partners innovative, specifically tailored restaurants that serve on-trend foods, draw passengers and yield excellent financial results.”
