Changi Airport Group, the operator for Changi Airport, is helping the nation of Singapore celebrate its 50th birthday as an independent country by unveiling 50 attractions throughout the airport.

These attractions include tourist icons, favorite local dishes and famous landmarks, and are intended to take travelers on a voyage of discovery to relive the history and achievements of Singapore and Changi Airport. The giant models, paintings and video booths can be found across all three terminals.

The attractions, known as the 50 Home Spots, were created by CAG in collaboration with the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), P-Serve, Certis Cisco, JetQuay, the Ministry of Defense, Singapore Kindness Movement, Nanyang Polytechnic and Samsonite, as part of the nation’s SG50 celebrations.

CAG will be running a series of promotions to further enhance the celebrations, including more than 200 exclusive shopping discounts and gifts, and free-of-charge movie screenings at the movie theaters in Terminals 2 and 3. CAG’s philanthropic arm, Changi Foundation, will also contribute S$5 (US$3.66) for every S$1 (US$0.73) received through its donation boxes in the airport.

Jayson Goh, senior vice president, airport operations management, CAG, and chairman of CAG’s SG50 organizing committee, said, “The many partners within and beyond the airport

community who have come together to create this celebration at Changi Airport have made our SG50 celebrations a true ‘one-people’ initiative for Singapore.

“More than just a gateway to the world, Changi Airport holds many special memories for Singaporeans. For all of

us, it is home. Our airport staff members who work around the clock to create the safe, efficient and enjoyable

environment of Changi Airport have symbolically come together once again, to help create a unique experience for our passengers and visitors as we celebrate Singapore’s 50th birthday.”
