<p>The site, known as Dunreath Green, fronts Dunreath Drive and Tonkin Highway and represents the first major land expansion at the airport estate since the 1990s. It sits roughly 15 minutes from Perth&#8217;s central business district, next to an existing retail precinct that includes Costco and DFO, and draws an estimated four million visitors a year.</p>

<p>The report consolidates the results of preliminary design studies, covering the airport&#8217;s functional program, operational capacity, multimodal connectivity and long-term structural solutions. By the end of July, the final Environmental Impact Assessment will be submitted to the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) and the government, in line with the schedule set out in the concession agreement.</p>

Construction on Runway 10-28 is scheduled to begin July 22 and continue until October 8.</p>
<p>The project includes milling and paving the runway along with an upgrade to its electrical system to install modern LED runway lighting. Runway 10-28 is one of two commercial runways at the airport and, at 3,200m, the longest.</p>

<p>Located on the landside of Terminal 3, the building will be Changi Airport&#8217;s first standalone office block, providing purpose-built workspace for airlines, airport partners and other businesses seeking proximity to the airport. It will offer approximately 9,600m2 of office space across five levels, with a dedicated drop-off bay and lift lobby.</p>

<p>International travel led the growth, rising 8.1% to 5.55 million passengers; regional passenger numbers increased 6.0% to 6.6 million; and interstate passengers grew 1.9% to 6.22 million.</p>
<p>Perth Airport CEO Jason Waters said the result reflected strong demand for air travel and the work of airport staff.</p>
<p>&#8220;While much of the public focus has been on our plans for the future, our teams have been working hard to support record numbers of Western Australians travelling through Perth Airport safely, securely and efficiently,&#8221; Waters said.</p>

<p>The project includes a new eastern passenger terminal of approximately 50,000m2, along with a 20,000m2, two-level underground facility for baggage handling and security screening. It is described as one of the largest upgrades in the airport&#8217;s recent history.</p>
<p>The passenger terminal will include expanded halls, airline check-in areas, restaurants, offices and commercial space, aimed at improving capacity and the traveler experience.</p>
