Restaurateur HMSHost has officially opened The Gasparilla Bar at Tampa International Airport in Florida, a pirate ship-shaped restaurant and bar that pays homage to the city’s annual Pirate Festival.
The restaurant design mimics a wooden pirate ship, with a towering main mast, colorful nautical flags, and block and tackle themed drop lighting. The menu includes a selection of light bites including the pirate’s roast beef sandwich, the Gaspar’s chicken sandwich and the Black Beard bean salad. The bar also stocks a variety of ‘Gaspar’s grogs’ including Captain Morgan Rum-based cocktails and a variety of premium beer, wine, and other spirits.
