Finavia has opened a public procurement procedure calling for new commercial operators at Helsinki Airport.
Under the current public procurement procedure, there are 13 commercial spaces available totalling 1,081m². Twelve of them are new and located in the upcoming Helsinki Airport T2 terminal Non-Schengen area and one of them already exists in the Schengen area.
The spaces will be tendered in three categories: five spaces for premium retail, totalling of 507m²; four spaces for high-end luxury retail spanning 243m²; and four spaces for food and beverage, making up 331m² of space.
Elena Stenholm, commercial director and vice president of Finavia at Helsinki Airport, said, “The driving forces behind all commercial services at Helsinki Airport are high quality, diversity of offering and personal service excellence.
“As an international airport, we pay a lot of attention to the needs and preferences of many different nationalities, which is of particular relevance to the extending Non-Schengen terminal, with its fast-growing Asian and European clientele.
“We also aim to create a true sense of place and this will be clearly seen in the upcoming commercial offering as well as in visual, conceptual and digital solutions.”
The premium shops and boutiques are due to open in summer/autumn 2019 and spring 2020 and the luxury retail units in spring 2020 and spring 2021, depending on the exact location.
Spaces reserved for food and beverage include a smoothie bar, a luxury teahouse, a champagne bar and a café. Depending on the location, they will open in autumn 2019, spring 2020 and summer 2021.
