Airport feeds first responders for free

On-duty first responders can now order and collect a free meal from DeNunzio’s Italian Chophouse at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in southwestern Pennsylvania.

Westmoreland County Airport Authority has joined forces with DeNunzio’s to provide first responders with meals while dine-in options are suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to its executive director Gabe Monzo, the airport authority has donated US$2,500 to help cover the cost of the meals. Once funds have been exhausted, meals will be offered to first responders at a reduced rate. The authority is accepting donations that will help cover the ongoing costs of this initiative.
