Alaska’s Fairbanks International Airport has installed a freestanding Mamava lactation suite near its passenger screening checkpoint.

The suite provides privacy, cleanliness, and everything needed to express milk or breastfeed a baby. The Mamava pod is secure, with two benches and a fold-down table. It provides space for a stroller, and has power outlets, and the pod can be unlocked by downloading the free Mamava app on iOS and Android devices. The app also includes a location finder feature to identify one of the almost 900 pods across the USA and Canada.

“We are thrilled to offer a lactation suite to traveling mothers,” said Angie Spear, airport manager. “Our top priority is the health and safety of the traveling public and this new addition to the terminal offers a safe and private space for moms on the go.”
