Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) reported an 18.5% increase in passenger numbers across its 12 airports in December 2015 when compared to the same month the previous year. Growth in domestic travelers grew by 19.5% for the same period while international traffic increased by 16.6%.

The rise in passengers has been attributed to record annual passenger numbers at Aguascalientes and Guanajuato international airports, as well as Tijuana International Airport recording its busiest month ever in December 2015, after catering for more than 542,000 passengers.
