Following a three-month delay, construction of a new US$15m passenger terminal at Prescott Regional Airport is underway.

Local, state and federal officials joined more than 200 guests for a groundbreaking ceremony at Ernest A Love Field, the site of the Arizona airport.

The new terminal is expected to be finished in the spring of 2021. When it is completed, it will allow for more flights from Prescott to Denver and Los Angeles with SkyWest Airlines and United Express.

“Today is a phenomenal day for Yavapai County,” said District 7 representative Arlando Teller.
