Effective March 3, 2020, airlines will no longer make terminal-wide flight announcements in San Francisco International Airport’s International Terminal.

According to the airport, the move is intended to give passengers a “more peaceful” experience. Passengers are asked to stay informed about their flight status by referring to their airline’s app or to terminal flight information screens.

San Francisco stressed that for the time being, this would only affect International Terminal post-security areas.
