Passenger terminal opened at Vinh Airport in Vietnam

A newly built passenger terminal has been opened at Vinh Airport in the Nghe An province of Vietnam, according to news site Vietnamnet.

The 11,700m2 terminal and supporting projects are reported to have cost an estimated VND1.2 trillion (US$56.4m), which was invested by Airports Corporation of Vietnam, the airport operator. The new terminal has four boarding gates and 28 check-in counters, as well supporting parking structures and access roads. The new terminal will allow the airport to handle an additional three million passengers annually.

According to the report, deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked the local government and related authorities to boost their investment in transport infrastructure and tourism, to create favorable conditions for socio economic development in Nghe An and the wider region.
