Half Moon Empanadas, a new Latin-themed food counter, has opened in the North Terminal Marketplace at Miami International Airport in Florida. It is the Miami-based company’s third store since it first opened in 2008.

Passengers can choose to have their freshly made patties stuffed with a wide range of ingredients including beef, chicken and ham, as well as several cheeses and vegetables. Half Moon Empanadas is the latest addition to Miami Airport’s North Terminal Marketplace, a collection of eateries and shops in Concourse D that allows travelers to sample dishes from several of Miami’s diverse demographics.

Emilio T González, aviation director, Miami International Airport, said, “One of my top priorities since taking the helm at Miami Airport two years ago has been to give our passengers more dining options that appeal to their various cultural tastes. As the busiest US airport for travel to and from Latin America and the Caribbean, Half Moon Empanadas is a perfect fit for our broad spectrum of international travelers.
