Jamie Oliver visits Schiphol team

British chef Jamie Oliver surprised staff at Jamie’s Deli at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol recently when he paid them a visit. He spoke to the deli staff about their work and heard about the latest developments at the outlet.

Jamie’s Deli at Schiphol Airport is a partnership between The Jamie Oliver Group and SSP Group, a leading operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations worldwide. SSP Group operates 15 Jamie Oliver concepts – from bars to restaurants – in Austria, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain and the UK, with further units to open in Bahrain and Brazil.

In June, the group strengthened its partnership with Jamie Oliver after agreeing to take over operations of his three units at London Gatwick – Jamie’s Italian, Jamie’s Coffee Lounge and Jamie Oliver’s Diner.

“It was fantastic to pop in and say hello to the Jamie’s Deli team at Schiphol Airport,” said Oliver. “It’s always such a pleasure to meet, and get a chance to chat to, staff on the ground, who work hard to bring our menus to life.”
