The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA), the operator of Orlando International Airport in Florida, has officially opened its new 11,000ft² Food Hall in the Airside 2 area of Terminal A.

GOAA partnered with food and beverage (F&B) operator Villa Restaurant Group to open the renovated area with six new dining concepts including Villa Italian Kitchen, Green Leaf’s & Bananas, The Market by Villa, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Asian Chao Oriental Eatery and Chipotle Mexican Grill.

The new food hall is estimated to bring in more than US$150m in revenue over a 10-year term and will add nearly 200 permanent jobs to the local economy. It has been designed to create a warm and relaxed outdoor patio feel with comfortable seating areas and power outlets, as well as a large media wall that displays airport and community trivia for entertainment.

Frank Kruppenbacher, chairman of GOAA, said, “This really furthers what we have stressed at the airport and that is partnering with the business community and expanding customer service opportunities and job opportunities for our region. Because of companies like Villa and their employees, we believe we have the best airport in the world and we know we’re protecting that asset.”
