GO Airport Express, which serves O’Hare International Airport and Midway Airport in Chicago, USA, as well as GO Group LLC, which provides ground transportation at more than 90 airports worldwide, has quizzed 200 people on their favorite hotel freebie, aside from breakfast. A 68% majority ticked wi-fi.

The second top answer, at 14%, was free transportation between the hotel and the airport. Happy hour and in-room coffee and tea at the hotel were the next highest answers with 5% each. Both scoring 3% were the use of the hotel health club and free snacks. Less than 1% ticked free newspapers or on-site airline and baggage check-in.

Founded in 1853, GO Airport Express is one of the oldest companies in Chicago, and originally offered transportation between city hotels and the railway stations. It is a founding member of GO Group LLC, the USA’s largest airport transportation provider, serving airports in North America, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe.

John McCarthy, president, GO Airport Express, said, “Today’s travelers have made it clear they want and need to be connected at all times, and they don’t want to be charged for it. In order to build and maintain loyalty, properties should be responsive to this widely preferred amenity.”
