Avianca opens VIP lounge at Miami International

Columbian airline operator Avianca has opened its new VIP lounge in the South Terminal of Miami International Airport in Florida, USA.

The new 5,618ft² facility is available for LifeMiles Gold and Diamond Elite Program members, Star Alliance Gold Status Holders, Priority Pass members and business class travelers.

The lounge is open seven days a week from 3:00am to 9:00pm and features shower facilities, free wi-fi, flat screen televisions, a local phone service, children’s play area, multiple power outlets for mobile devices, and a business center with copier, scanner, fax machine and private work stations. Guests also have access to a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages; snacks, appetizers and a light meal menu; and a range of newspapers and magazines.

Emilio T González, director for Miami-Dade Aviation, the airport operator, said, “We applaud Avianca’s decision to open its newest VIP lounge at Miami International Airport. As one of our 10 busiest carriers, Avianca carries hundreds of thousands of travelers between Latin America and Miami annually, and we are proud to help them open this spacious new lounge for our shared customers.”
