Denver International Airport is holding a temporary exhibition to celebrate 20 years of art displays at the airport. The ‘Culture Catalyst’ display features historical photographs of eight of the original 22 commissions at the airport as well as videos of the upcoming public art to be displayed at the hotel and Transit Center sites. The exhibit will also include six new commissions by artists Darrell Anderson, David Fodel, Hollis + Lana, Joel Swanson and Chinn Wang. Each artist has had artwork displayed at the airport at some point through its 20-year history.

Kim Day, CEO for Denver Airport, said, “The airport’s art collection is one that is often talked about. With the airport’s 20th anniversary approaching in February, we invite the public to reflect on the inaugural collection, explore the temporary commissions and learn about the future of art at the airport through this exhibit.”

The Culture Catalyst exhibition will take place at the McNichols Civic Center Building, located at 144 West Colfax Avenue on the 3rd floor, from March 8, 2015.
