Airport operator Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur has awarded a seven-year contract for fashion and luxury retail outlets to concessionaires Dufry and LS Travel Retail at Nice Cote d’Azur International Airport in France. LS Travel Retail will also be responsible for operating two new Fnac technology stores in terminals 1 and 2.

The announcement follows on from the recent awards of food and beverage (F&B), duty free, gastronomy, and chic souvenirs contracts to multiple operators. The new luxury and fashion retail areas have been expanded from a floor area of 2,530ft2 to 7,265ft2 in Terminal 1, and 3,422ft2 to 8,234ft2 in Terminal 2.

As part of the contract, Dufry will operate seven luxury outlets including Baccarat, Armani, S Ferragamo, Max Mara, Versace, and Hermes stores in both terminals. LS Travel Retail and Dufry will operate six fashion and accessory shops between them.

Dominique Thillaud, chairman of the management board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur, said, “This new step in the renovation of our commercial offer further strengthens our project, developing the ‘sense of place’ of the Cote d’Azur, which is inseparable from our airport, and setting up a diversified offering that will ensure the satisfaction of all our categories of customers.”

Filip Soete, chief commercial officer for Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur, said, “First we chose brands corresponding to the four pillars we wanted for our offer: the inescapable heavyweights, the trend-setters of today and tomorrow’s fashions, and iconic products evoking both the French Riviera and also just France. We also chose to work with proven and recognized travel retail partners, as well as for the first time opening our doors to a brand that will run its own boutique directly.”
