Airport operator Port of Portland has approved 11 lease agreements for new retail and dining concessions at Portland International Airport in Oregon, USA. The concessions are set to begin operating by mid-2016.

The new leases will create approximately 100 new jobs at Portland Airport and are the second phase of a larger concessions program scheduled to take place in three stages until 2018.

Chris Czarnecki, general manager of aviation business and properties, Port of Portland, said, “Portland is a coffee town; anyone seeking a good, strong cup of coffee before an early morning flight ought to appreciate the mix of brands the airport will soon offer. We sought to expand the local and regional presence of the new shops opening soon, and we focused on companies that could deliver the best customer experience possible. We also paid close attention to quality employers who appreciate the value each employee brings to the job.”

The new offerings include Capers Farm-to-Table Market with its healthy grab-and-go section, wine bar, and meats and cheese deli; House Spirits Distillery, featuring the only airport distillery tasting room in the world; Kenny & Zuke’s Delicatessen & Market, with a wide-range of locally sourced products; Made in Oregon, a seller of local artisan products; Soundbalance electronics store; Timberline Lodge souvenirs outlet; and Vino Volo wine store. There will also be four new coffee concepts including Peet’s Coffee & Tea, Stumptown Coffee Roasters, Portland Roasting Company and Starbucks.
