Nuctech, an international supplier of security inspection systems, has unveiled its new Kylin solution, which has been developed especially for inspecting carry-on baggage. The technology is a computed tomography (CT) inspection system, which combines Nuctech’s dual-energy material discrimination technology with spiral CT technology.

With multidimensional information acquired by the system, Kylin realizes automated liquid and narcotics explosives detection with higher probability of detection and lower false alarm rate. The new solution uses high resolution 3D images to inspect objects and identify contraband easier with a more intuitive image.

“This solution was developed to meet the current demands of the aviation market for a hassle free security check point experience for passengers,” said Nuctech’s director, vice president, Li Zhijun.

An exclusive interview with Li Zhijun looking at the Kylin solution in more detail will be published in the June issue of Passenger Terminal World magazine.
