Airline operator Aeromexico has announced the official launch of what it refers to as its ‘digital ecosystem’, which includes a revamped website, mobile app, and a number of updated self-service check-in kiosks.

The new simplified website has been inspired by Mexican culture and features visually stunning imagery with vivid colors and contemporary iconography. Aeromexico’s new site will be complemented by the launch of a new passenger app in the third quarter of 2016, which will provide travelers with flight notifications, personalized promotions, loyalty programs and access to booking details. In 2017, travelers using the app will also gain access to a multimedia player for streaming onboard entertainment.

Aeromexico passengers flying from Mexico City and Monterrey airports will be able to take advantage of the airline’s upgraded check-in kiosks with their new intuitive navigation platform. The kiosks also boast additional hardware including a document scanner, credit card reader, and boarding pass and bag tag printer. In the next few months, customers will be able to use the kiosks to check in their luggage, request upgrades, purchase inflight items and adjust their itinerary in eight languages. The airline plans to roll out the new check-in kiosks to nine other airports across Mexico in the near future.

Anko Van der Werff, chief revenue officer, Aeromexico, said, “The updated technology and tools that we provide for our customers reflects the constant transformation and modernization plans taking place at Aeromexico.”
