A new family-friendly facility has been unveiled in Terminal 3 (T3) at Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) providing more entertainment for children traveling through the airport and greater convenience for parents.

Located in the Zen Garden on Concourse B, the new facility features a children’s play area complete with climbing frames, interactive games, creative play equipment and television screens displaying children’s programming. There is also a baby changing room and a comfortable family seating area to further aid parents waiting for a flight.

In addition to the new play area, airport operator Dubai Airports has made significant improvements to the main transfer area in Concourse B. This includes more floor space, additional seats, ‘green’ living walls, better signage and a children’s security machine.

Chris Garton, executive vice president – operations, Dubai Airports, said, “We recognize that passengers waiting for a flight have valuable time that they would like to put to good use, be it catching up with work, sharing a meal with friends, shopping or spending time with family. These new facilities are the first of a series of changes we are making across the terminals at Dubai International to create welcoming spaces for the comfort and convenience of our customers.”
