Port Polska is a strategic investment programme developed by the Centralny Port Komunikacyjny company, designed to create a modern, integrated national transportation system that seamlessly connects air, rail, and road networks. At the heart of the programme is a state-of-the-art airport located between Warsaw and Łódź, complemented by a high-speed rail network, aimed at transforming Poland’s connectivity and establishing a central hub for Central and Eastern Europe.
The airport is planned to serve 34 million passengers annually in its initial years, with a flexible, modular design that allows scalable expansion in line with market demand. Upon opening in 2032, the multimodal hub is expected to accommodate between 34 and 44 million passengers, depending on demand. It will integrate the airport terminal, high-speed rail station, and bus terminal under one roof, offering passengers a seamless, efficient travel experience.
Strategically located 37 kilometers west of Warsaw, the airport will replace the congested Warsaw Chopin Airport, enabling unrestricted 24/7 operations. Sustainability is a core principle of the project, with net-zero-ready infrastructure, renewable energy systems, SAF-ready facilities, and fully integrated multimodal transport links. The airport will serve as a platform for LOT Polish Airlines’ route development, supporting future air traffic growth, while its cargo and logistics capabilities are projected to handle up to 300,000 tonnes annually. In addition, the dual-use infrastructure will strengthen EU and NATO military readiness, combining civil and strategic capabilities in one hub.
By combining advanced technology, innovative design, and sustainability, Port Polska is poised to redefine Poland’s transport landscape. The programme will set new benchmarks for efficiency, passenger experience, and environmental performance, establishing Poland as a key hub in European mobility and connectivity for decades to come.
