Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in Texas, USA, has partnered with TRG Duty Free, a consortium of local businesses and duty free operators, to open and operate six new retail outlets in Terminal D.

The new duty free concessions will occupy approximately 20,000ft² of terminal space, and will include a flagship store with 13,000ft² split across two levels. The shops will feature renowned international retail brands such as Ferragamo, Gucci, Dior, Chanel, Lancôme and Burberry, and will sell a variety of goods including clothing, cosmetics, electronics, leather goods, jewelry, handbags, and wine and spirits.

Sean Donohue, CEO at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, said, “Terminal D hosts more than seven million international travelers each year, and as our international profile grows those customers look for world-class experiences and amenities. The new duty-free experience at the airport will transform Terminal D and bring our customers an unparalleled level of luxury and service with high-end brands, VIP concierge services, cutting-edge technology and local flair.”

Ken Buchanan, executive vice president of revenue management at Dallas Fort/Worth Airport, said, “When looking for a duty-free retailer, we asked for a blend of international couture, state-of-the-art technology and luxurious services – all while capturing the spirit and beauty of Texas.

“TRG’s winning proposal delivered with a concept that we know will surprise and delight our passengers. We’re excited to know their vision will soon come to life in Terminal D.”

The TRG Duty Free consortium comprises Duty Free Air and Ship Supply Company (DFASS), CBI Retail Ventures, Charles Bush Consulting, and MDT Strategic Ventures/Innovative Strategies.
