Sleeping pods installed at Bergamo Airport

LinkedIn +

Il Caravaggio International Airport in Bergamo, Italy, has installed three sleeping pods for use by passengers on a pay as you go basis, 24/7. The living pods by ZZZleepandGo have been designed as soundproof rooms with a bed, desk, luggage storage, free wi-fi, USB/220V power sockets and a screen with updated flight information.

The ZZZleepandGo pods can either be booked remotely via an app or the company’s website, or, directly at the airport using the device mounted on the outside of each unit. The service costs €8 (US$8.95) for the first hour and €7 (US$7.80) for each subsequent hour. Bed linen is changed automatically when a new guest arrives, and the interior is sanitized and scented after each stay.

Upon leaving the room, the customer selects the ‘checkout’ option on the device outside and the system will send the corresponding invoice to the customer’s email address.
