Indianapolis International Airport in Indiana has been inducted into the Airports Council International (ACI) director general’s Roll of Excellence after winning the ‘Best Airport in North America’ award for the fourth time in five years.
Angela Gittens, director general for ACI, presented the Roll of Excellence award to the airport operator, Indianapolis Airport Authority (IAA), during a ceremony in the airport’s Civic Plaza yesterday (August 5).
Indianapolis International is one of four airports globally to have earned the honor in 2015 following the results of ACI’s Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey, which covers 34 key service areas across more than 300 airports globally.
Gittens said, “To the hardworking staff at Indianapolis Airport, I thank you on behalf of the passengers you serve every day. To those flying in and out of the airport, I say you’re in good hands and, if the team’s performance to date is any indication, we can continue to expect big things from them in the years to come.”
