Design and engineering firm Atkins has appointed Graham Bolton as global airports development director. Bolton is tasked with maintaining the company’s growth in the aviation sector.
Bolton has nearly 25 years’ experience of working on major airport development projects across the world, including Copenhagen, London Heathrow and Melbourne airports, as well as Dubai, Hong Kong and Seattle-Tacoma international airports. Prior to joining Atkins, Bolton was the project director responsible for business planning, master planning and early design studies on the New Istanbul Airport. Graham is also deputy chair of the British Aviation Group.
Graham’s role with Atkins will see him provide strategic direction and technical leadership as the UK business looks to build on its strong global aviation portfolio which includes key roles on London Heathrow’s £1.5bn (US$2.2bn) Q6 investment program, King Abdulaziz Airport in Saudi Arabia and a number of other projects in North America and Asia Pacific.
