Big changes are afoot at Hong Kong International Airport, as the airport authority’s Steven Yui and Jacob Cheung tell us in this interview at PTE World 2026.
For starters, the new Terminal 2 will open on May 27, 2026. Meanwhile, over in Terminal 1, they explain that the security screening technology has been upgraded to 3D machines that are quicker and more accurate than the previous x-ray systems.
They also describe how the airport authority analyzes traveler emotions and works to eliminate as many pain points as possible, to improve the passenger experience.
