SITA has launched SITA Border Flow Lane, designed to streamline passenger processing with pre-clearance, “move-through” capabilities. Instead of processing travelers one at a time, the technology assesses identity and risk continuously, across every traveler at once without the need for a fixed, physical barrier.
SITA says the new system can make border clearance up to eight times faster than traditional border control e-gates, freeing up immigration and security personnel to spend more time on cases that need their attention. In addition, as passengers move through border control more quickly, they have an improved experience and airports can benefit from more passenger time spent at retail and dining outlets.
Travelers choose to enroll in SITA Border Flow Lane and use authorized biometric data, while border agencies retain full control of identity verification and border decisions.
