The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has awarded a US$672.5m contract to Leidos in support of the Checkpoint Screening Equipment Deployment Services (SEDS II) program.
Under the terms of the contract, Leidos will supply checkpoint screening equipment for airports across the USA and will also be responsible for installing, relocating and removing equipment where required.
The contract requires that TSA checkpoints are equipped with “state-of-the-art” screening technology, deployed efficiently and in accordance with federal standards, improving passenger safety and throughput.
The company was first awarded the contract in 2021, which was then valued at approximately US$470m. The new contract covers an eight-year ordering period.
