Abu Dhabi Airports launches its annual ‘Star of the Year’ program

Abu Dhabi Airports has held its annual ‘Star of the Year’ program, which recognizes individuals whose performance exceeded the overall performance expectations of Abu Dhabi International Airport during 2014.

Awardees included those from partners working at the airport such as operating airlines and customs and airport police, as well as Abu Dhabi Airports’ subsidiaries in facilities management, duty free, airport traffic and other internal departments.

The winners were selected based on excellent work continuity during the year and included individuals who interact directly or indirectly with passengers and contribute to the overall performance of the airport.

Ahmad Al Haddabi, chief operations officer at Abu Dhabi Airports, said, “We would like to thank all employees for their continuous enthusiasm and hard work. It is the collaboration between all partners and employees that plays a significant role toward Abu Dhabi Airports becoming one of the world’s leading airport groups. Programs like the ‘Star of the Year’ award recognize the dedication of employees and further support our endeavor to deliver a world class experience to all our passengers.”

The list of awardees included personnel from various partners of Abu Dhabi Airports such as Etihad Airways, Saudi Arabia Airlines, Pakistan Air, Turkish Airlines, Airblue, Jet Airways, airport traffic police, and airport immigration, as well as airport employees from various departments such as airport operations and operations support.
