Big wins for Lagardère at 2019 FAB Awards

Lagardère Travel Retail received more awards than any other organization at the 2019 FAB Awards.

The company’s Natoo (above) outlet at Venice Marco Polo Airport was global winner in the Airport Smoothie or Juice Bar of the Year category. Natoo is a unique Lagardère Travel Retail healthy hybrid concept featuring a salad bar, and aimed at travelers seeking a fresh and healthy alternative.

Its offer ranges from traditional Italian coffee, desserts and home-made pastries, to sandwiches and salads filled with fresh and seasonal ingredients. Food is available to eat in or take away, and the menu includes vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and lactose-free options.

Teppan, a Lagardère offering at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (below), was the global winner in the Airport Casual Dining Restaurant of the Year category.

Operated in partnership with the Michelin-starred chef Thierry Marx, Teppan Daily Marx Cuisine is an unconventional casual dining restaurant and bar offering a quick and spontaneous cuisine for time-constrained passengers.

The Daily (below) at Dubai International Airport was global winner of the Airport Food Hall of the Year category. A food hall concept tailor-made for Dubai International Airport, it offers street food from across the globe. This new customized concept captures the essence of the Dubaian culinary culture, made of influences from all over the world contributing to its rich food scene and reflecting Dubai’s open-mindedness, together with its vibrant and urban vibe.

Shinsei at Dallas Fort Worth was named regional winner in the Airport Casual Dining Restaurant of the Year category. A Dallas institution for more than 10 years, it was created by two women entrepreneurs, Tracy Rathbun and Lynae Fearing. Judith Hernandez of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport was highly commended in the Airport Chef of the Year category.
