US-based private healthcare provider Code 3 Emergency Partners is opening a new medical facility at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) in Texas.

Construction has already begun on the 8,160ft² Emergency Center and Urgent Care facility, which will be equipped with a laboratory and pharmacy, as well as CT, ultrasound and x-ray capabilities. The concept will be the first of its kind at an airport in the USA. Frisco-based Code 3 Construction has been appointed as the general contractor for the new facility.

Carrie de Moor, founder and CEO, Code 3 Emergency Partners, said, “Code 3 is extremely excited to provide access to specialized emergency medical/trauma care and unscheduled acute care on the airport property.

“We knew that with over 60,000 airport based and airline employees on-site every day and over 60 million passengers traveling through the airport every year, there was a definite need for this service.

“We intend to partner with airport employers to provide an affordable and easily accessible solution for their employees’ acute unscheduled healthcare needs.”
