As the operator, the consortium will be tasked with the revitalization of the airport and its surrounding areas with the long-term aim of stimulating Kyushu’s economy through trade and business activities. The consortium aims to takeover operations at Fukuoka Airport on April 1, 2019.

Fukuoka Airport is the principal airport on the island of Kyushu and is the fourth busiest passenger airport in Japan. In 2016, the airport served close to 22,000,000 passengers.
