Hong Kong introduces relief measures

Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) is introducing a new round of relief measures to help businesses at the airport that have been affected by the fall in passengers caused by the current coronavirus outbreak.

The relief measures include rental concessions and reduction or waiver of fees. They will benefit different airport business partners, such as airport retail and catering outlets, airlines, ground handling agents, ramp handling services companies, and aviation support service companies.

In September 2019, the AA introduced rent concessions and other relief measures in view of the impact of social unrest on businesses at the airport. The two rounds of relief measures, coupled with rental adjustment and concessions, amount to about HK$1.6bn (US$205m).
