Military assists Aena

Unidad Militar de Emergencias (UME), Spain’s Military Emergencies Unit, is supporting operator Aena in cleaning and disinfecting its airports.

UME members have already disinfected some of the main airports in the network: including

Alicante-Elche, Malaga-Costa del Sol, Valencia, Seville, Jerez, Tenerife North, Tenerife South, Lanzarote and Santander. They have also helped disinfect the exterior of the airports in Santiago, Vigo and A Coruña, in Galicia, Northern Spain.

Members of the UME are scheduled to undertake disinfection of Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, Gran Canaria and Palma de Mallorca airports.
