Travel retail and restaurant specialist Paradies Lagardère has opened four new stores at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

The outlets – Over the Rhine Market, Gaslight Gifts, No Boundaries and TripAdvisor – are part of a new initiative intended to revamp the airport’s retail program. The second phase will see Paradies Lagardère open a further 14 stores.

“We’re confident that the retail program Paradies Lagardère has put together will offer travelers an enhanced customer experience unlike any other,” said Gregg Paradies, president and CEO, Paradies Lagardère. “We’re introducing several exciting proprietary concepts and popular brands for travelers to enjoy and there’s more to come to the airport. We look to continuing this successful partnership.”

Traveler preferences and demographics were considered when determining which brands to introduce to the airport. Among the local brands making their debut at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky are Over the Rhine Market and Gaslight Gifts, both named after Cincinnati neighborhoods. The former sells basic travel necessities and grab-and-go food items, while the latter specializes in local and regional gourmet items, gifts and souvenirs.

In the coming months, travelers at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky will see locally inspired concepts such as Queen City Exposition, Seven Hills, and Books, Barrels and Bridges, as well as proprietary concepts Semi Sweet and The Scoreboard. Established brands Brooks Brothers, Brighton, Spanx, and travel essential stores CNBC and Today will also open soon.
